The concept of borders is of central importance for Romanticism research. This is also due to the instability that influenced and shifted borders on a geopolitical, scientific and cultural level at the end of the 18th century.
In his lecture, Nicholas Halmi will pursue a transnational approach and focus on the topic of the crossing of borders in Romanticism. He will also ask about the historicity of processes that are still effective today.
The guest lecture will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 18:15 in lecture hall 024.
