Blauer Salon. Conversations on Romanticism

The Centre of Romaniticism Research is designing a new format at the historic location - the Blaue Salon in the historical building ensemble Frommannsches Anwesen.

The Frommannsche Anwesen was a centre of intellectual life at the end of the 18th century. Numerous writers, including the Schlegel brothers, met in the home and business premises of the publisher Carl Friedrich Ernst Frommann.

At the Blaue Salon one or two guests lead a moderated discussion, which opens up to the circle of participants and concludes with a shared glass of wine or water.

The topics are about romanticism and topical in a broad sense.

A room with blue walls, a round conference table, and a wall with windows. In the corner stands a historic bronze sculpture depicting a praying nude youth in a slight contrapposto pose.
