Early Career Colloquium

Starting in the summer semester of 2027, regular colloquia will be offered each semester for researchers in the early and mid-stages of their careers. Interested doctoral students, as well as postdocs at Friedrich Schiller University, will have the opportunity to present their research interests and findings to an interdisciplinary audience. Researchers from other universities are also welcome to participate in the presentation and discussion of topics that are diverse in terms of methodology and subject matter but always relevant to Romanticism. For the summer semester of 2027, the Jena Center for Romantic Studies is awarding two residency grants tied to the colloquium. The colloquium dates and application procedures will be announced in July 2026.
